May I present literally, the perfect party food that actually stays sanitary, delicious, and effortlessly stylish! The charcuterie party protein box!

Times have changed ya’ll. You certainly don’t need me to tell you that, but party food isn’t what it once was. Gone are the days of huge open spreads and wondering if that uncle really did wash his hands. It doesn’t look like it but hey, I’m just a mom who’s checking freshly washed hands 3 times a day for 3 children. What would I know? Okay, bring it back in. My grandma was turning 80 years old and had never had a birthday party in her whole life. God put it on my heart to throw her a party, and to spare no effort or necessary expense. So that’s what I did! These charcuterie protein boxes were a HUGE hit! I can’t even tell you how many people raved! I was honestly a little surprised – I mean I thought it was a good idea... but people went crazy!

I really wanted a Starbucks protein box type of party food but I wanted to dress it up. This is a blend of a charcuterie board and a protein box and this is how it’s made!

First things first – Everything in its place. Mis en Place

(Mees-en-Plaz)

As much as I just wanted to start putting all these yummy snacks into the boxes, I knew there was some prep work that had to happen first. Eggs had to be hardboiled (using the instant pot!), cheese had to be cut, and olives and pickles had to be skewered. I transferred the bagged items into bowls for easy disbursement. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to just buy hard-boiled eggs from Costco (already peeled).

I prepped everything the day before so that when it was ASSEMBLY DAY all I had to do was unload all the cut, skewered and organized food for a seamless and fun building experience!

Here is a complete list of ingredients for these Protein Charcuterie Boxes:

  • Hard Boiled Egg
  • Salami Rose (contains roughly 8 slices of salami)
  • Gouda Cheese
  • White Cheddar Cheese
  • Havarti Cheese
  • 5 different kinds of Crackers (from a multi-pack)
  • Rosemary Sea Salt Crackers
  • Sea Salt Crostini
  • Mini Dill Pickle
  • 2 Different kinds of Olives (stuffed and non) skewered
  • Cranberry Cheddar Cheese
  • Dried Apricots
  • Dried Dates

I found these great lidded boxes on Amazon. I had really wanted to craft paper but in the end, I think the white looked just as nice. One other thing I got from Amazon was these pearl-capped 4.7″ skewers.

Party guests loved the flavors, and loved how filling it was!

I also made a video of how I rolled the roses because they are actually REALLY QUICK AND SIMPLE. As soon I as finish getting it ready I will post it here to help make it easy to see.
